*The Thanksgiving meal costs are $9.05 per person, and $6.80 for Family members of enlisted personnel in the ranks of corporal and below.
*Stack DFAC will have a Thanksgiving Day brunch 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 23 for $6.25 per person and $4.70 for Family members of corporals and below. Stack will also have a Thanksgiving Day supper for $9.05 per person and $6.80 for Family members of corporals and below.
*The hospital DFAC will be closed for Thanksgiving
*Friday Nov. 17 will be the graduation day for BLC
*Civilians are allowed and encouraged to go to the dining facility for the Thanksgiving meals

DHR closure- The Directorate of Human Resources (DHR) will be closed to customers Nov. 23-24 for the Thanksgiving weekend. This will include all services for the following: --Building 1218 - Admin Services Division, Publications, ARMIS and FOIA Services, the DHR IMO and Workforce Management; Casualty Assistance Office will be on call; call the Fort Carson Operations Center at 526-3400 and ask for the on call casualty assistance officer.

--Building 1525 - The Mountain Post Soldier Center - CAPS, Retirements, Personnel Actions, QC/Records, SRP and other MPD services.
--Building 1529 - Official Mail and Distribution Office.
--Building 1039 - DEERS/I.D. Card Services.
--Building 6237 - SFL-TAP
--Building 6236 - ASAP
--Building 1117 - Army Continuing Education Services.

Customers are encouraged to make necessary arrangements to utilize these services before or after the date of closure.

Native American heritage- November is National Native American Heritage Month, and a 4th Infantry Division and Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 4th Inf. Div., observance is scheduled for Nov. 27 at 3 p.m. at the Elkhorn Conference Center. This year’s theme is “Standing Together.” The event will include a guest speaker and cultural demonstration.

Use precaution when attending events posted on social media -- Local police and sheriff departments strive to reduce crime and increase public safety with the ultimate goal of improving the quality of life for all of our citizens. However, we cannot do it alone and feel that in order to accomplish this goal, we must partner with our citizens in preventing criminal activity.
