Protestant Information

"Fort Carson offers four different opportunities to participate in Protestant Chapel communities and worship services, as well as ministries and events that are the combined effort of all Protestant Chapel communities.

Contemporary Worship: “Chapel NEXT” is a contemporary Military Chapel Service at Veterans Chapel that is centered and focused on Jesus. As a community who gathers together our central aim is to make much of Christ and enjoy him. We hope to be authentic, genuine people who live in community and on mission. Because of who Jesus is and what he did (the gospel), Chapel Next is a family on Jesus' mission of making disciples, sent by God to serve our world, continually learning how to walk in his ways-that's our gospel identity, and it's worked out by God's grace in the everyday rhythms of life in communities spread throughout the military. We hope to live as a Family of Missionary Servants toward Fort Carson, Colorado! Visit us on Facebook at

Traditional Worship: SMC Protestant is a Traditional/General Protestant Service that embraces the long stand traditions and 'feel' of the Army Chapel. Worship is a blended mix of traditional hymns and modern songs and we offer adult bible studies, mid-week programs and traditional seasonal events.

Gospel Worship: The Fort Carson Gospel Service at Prussman Chapel is a vibrant and active congregation, with long-standing traditions and long-term members. Our worship is in the “Gospel tradition” and we have a strong sense of community and fellowship. The Gospel Service excels at loving service to the Fort Carson and Colorado Springs communities through annual events such as Thanksgiving Food Baskets and Back-to-School Backpack distribution. Hospital Ministry: Healer Chapel at Evans Army Community Hospital is a congregation with a dedicated core that exists to provide and sustain worship services for Hospital staff, patients and Family members. The hurting have a home at Healer!

Protestant Women of the Chapel: Our combined Protestant women's ministry meets on Tuesdays throughout the school year at Soldiers Memorial Chapel from 0930-1200. The four primary aims of PWOC are to lead women to Christ, to teach women God's word, to develop women's spiritual gifts, and to involve women in chapel ministries. This religious education for women includes a selection of Bible studies, as well as fellowship times and service opportunities. We also offer religious education for children who accompany their mothers to PWOC. Come join this amazing group of women who are 'Rooted in the Love of Christ'. Visit us on Facebook at
