Reporting Non-emergency Crime's Online

Welcome to the Fort Carson Police Online Police Report Form. The purpose of this form is to allow Residents on Fort Carson conveniently file police reports from home, work, or anywhere with Internet access, online. After submitted the necessary information below, you will receive a tracking number immediately and then an actual report number by email within 3-5 business days. You will then be able to request a copy of your report by reply to the email message, or contacting the records section by phone (719-526-8289) within immediately after receiving your report number.

This web site should never be used to report an emergency, a crime in progress, or any type of injury. For emergencies, call 9-1-1. For any other situation that requires the response of a police officer, call 719-526-2333.

Before continuing, you should be aware that submitting this form, constitues filing a police report and that you are swearing all facts are true to the best of your knowledge. You should also be aware that it is a crime to make a false police report. This form CAN ONLY be used to report a limited, specific set of crimes (as listed below *) and only under certain conditions. (We will be adding additional crime categories in the future).

The Report A Crime Web Form and Report A Crime PDF Form CAN ONLY be used to report:

  • Theft with no suspects or witnesses
  • Damages to private property, or vehicles with no suspects and no witnesses
  • Harassing Phone Calls
  • Lost/Stole Property
  • Hit and Runs

And, you CAN ONLY use this Report A Crime Web Form if:

  • You are the actual victim of the theft, loss, or criminal mischief (not a witness, relative, friend, etc.)

Process for filling out the Report A Crime PDF Form (below Report A Crime Web Form):

  • Ensure ADOBE READER is installed in order to allow you to input data on the form
  • Send the document, via email (as an attached document using Adobe Reader, or other client), to;


  • You may also print, fill out and send the document, via fax, to 719-526-5238, Attn: Report A Crime.
  • Both options are listed below on this page.

This form CANNOT be used if:

  • The Crime / Loss / Incident occurred outside the installation boundaries of Fort Carson, CO
  • An emergency exists. (In an emergency, dial 9-1-1.)
  • If any type of force or break-in occurred (Contact 719-526-2333 to report burglary)
  • If any injuries occurred.
  • This form CANNOT be used to report a stolen vehicle (Contact 719-526-2333) to report auto theft)

You will need to answer a short series of questions to determine if the crime can be accepted through the online reporting service. Online reporting users will receive a reply email message immediately, indicating that your report has been received and will provide you with a tracking number. Please us the "Contact Us" option on our Contact Us webpage if you have not received any indication that your Crime Report Form Submission was received. You may also submit your report using the Report A Crime PDF Form by Faxing, or emailing the PDF as an attachment. Online submissions are reviewed by the department before a permanent report number is issued. Once the submission is reviewed you will receive an email containing the case number assigned to your submission and instructions on how to obtain a certified copy from our records department.

Benefits The online reporting system provides a convenient way to report crimes that do not require the presence of an officer, and it increases police productivity by freeing officers to perform other law enforcement activities. In addition, users may find it is a more convenient way to file a police report needed for an insurance claim.

(c) He or she makes a report or knowingly causes the transmission of a report to law enforcement authorities pretending to furnish information relating to an offense or other incident within their official concern when he or she knows that he or she has no such information or knows that the information is false; OR

(d) He or she knowingly provides false identifying information to law enforcement authorities.
